Ottumwa Giants

The first pro baseball team known of was the Ottumwa Giants.  They were managed by former big leaguer Pat Flaherty, who appeared in 38 games with Louisville in 1894.  He hit .294 with 15 runs batted in that year.  The team finished 5th out of six teams in it's inagural season in the Western Association.
